Ingredients:
8 slices of bread
8 slices of ham
8 slices of smoked sausage
8 slices of beef
8 slices of cheese
2 eggs
2 cups of beef stock
1/2 cup of tomato sauce
1/4 cup of beer
2 cloves of garlic
1 bay leaf
1 tablespoon of cornstarch
Salt and pepper to taste
Instructions:
In a saucepan, heat the beef stock, tomato sauce, beer, garlic and bay leaf.
Let it simmer for about 10-15 minutes.
Remove the garlic and bay leaf.
Disolve the cornstarch in a little bit of water and add it to the sauce.
Wisk until the sauce thickens.
Set aside.
Toast the bread slices.
Top 4 slices with ham, smoked sausage, beef and cheese.
Cover with the remaining bread slices.
In a bowl, beat the eggs and dip the sandwiches in it, coating them well.
Fry the sandwiches in a pan until the cheese melts and the bread is golden brown.
Serve hot, topped with the sauce.
